Description | Grabs images from
/dev/bktr
and ov511+ & (ov7620 | ov6620) based USB webcams (using
ugen)
and saves it as jpeg. Optionally it can serve the images and a stream
using a built-in mini webserver. That makes a nice console based webcam
program. Works on NetBSD, FreeBSD and DragonFly BSD.
This is an evolution from bktr2jpeg. It now has an internal framework to ease adding new cameras, leaving the programmer with just the hardware driver for devices without any (USB cam's) or a driver wrapper (f.e. PCI TV cards, SBUS frame grabber cards). Separated camera, image and server functionality, the internal webserver, the webcam framework, XML-based configuration and some smaller improvements and optimizations satisfy a new name, I think. This is the first announcement. |

This is my
test machine. It runs Raspbian and unfortunately serves an image
generated by fswebcam. When time permits, I'll add an V4L2 driver
to cambevao (this didn't happen since 2008).
