xtu

Description Tolle Uhr for X is a port of the most popular clock for the Amiga range of computers to the X Window System.
I always wanted that clock for X. I asked the programmer of the original, a friend of mine, to port it, but he claims, it wouldn't be possible. Well, X11 is much more powerful, than most people think. (Hi Gunther! ;-> ) So I had to write it on my own...

The main feature is, that it can grab it's actual background and use that for itself. So, it looks like it would be transparent (and it really is, if you switch on support for the X Shape Extension!) If you want a real good looking clock on your X desktop, just give it a try. You can configure the color and form of almost every pixel in it via app-defaults, command line or a special dot-file.

If you are using xtu with a nice setup, please send me a screenshot!

After years of dust on xtu, a nice guy wrote a manpage. That makes version 1.3! Thank you, Jasper! :-)
